Arbra Hill
"Unconventional pop" is the best way to describe Winnipeg indie band Arbra Hill: from the players right down to the songs. Today, to hear something fresh is rare, but this is a fresh sound,” says veteran radio host Howard Mandshein.

The band’s unique sound prompted Canada’s Exclaim! Magazine to write, “the songs all have a quirky indie pop attitude that is really charming” about their work. Their music has been featured in media ranging from college radio shows like CKUW’s Beer for Breakfast, to newspapers like the Winnipeg Free Press.

2007 sees the band release their first full-length CD Evolution of Note (go to song samples). Some of the highlights include Zachary, an epic journey of a song that’s part shuffle, part spaceship, and part Napoleon Dynamite. And Crazy, with it’s driving beat and Talk Talk-like retro keyboards.
